NOTORIOUS B.I.G. | BET HIP HOP AWARDS 2008 | FOX SEARCHLIGHT PICTURES
October 2008: DP (HD Sony F-900 1080i) for the EPK on the cast of the motion picture NOTORIOUS who attended the BET Hip Hop Awards 2008 in Atlanta.
DP Porter Versfelt and Audio Technician Chris Mills documented celebrity arrivals on the BET red carpet and client Producer Jorge Carreon (Phase One Productions - LA) interviewed NOTORIOUS cast members and other performing artists. The team also covered an exclusive post-awards party for the cast and film and conducted additional one-on-one interviews with the cast.
This material will be used to promote NOTORIOUS prior to its theatrical release in January 2009. NOTORIOUS is the dramatic telling of the life of famed, late hip hop artist Notorious B.I.G. ("Biggie" Smalls).

CRYOLIFE | OPM PRODUCTIONS
October 2008: Los Angeles production company OPM Productions and Producer/Director Bruce Martin hires Versfelt Communications Group to supply four HD camera operators and two audio technicians for coverage of the two-day Ross Surgical Summit 2008 at CryoLife, a leader in the processing and distribution of implantable living human tissues for use in cardiac and vascular surgeries throughout the U.S. and Canada. This event brought the top cardiologists and cardiac surgeons from around the world to CryoLife headquarters in the Atlanta suburb of Kennesaw.
VCGTV's Porter Versfelt acted as Line Producer and DP for video coverage of this event, shooting and lighting key interviews using the Sony F-900 Cinealta HDCAM camera. Additional footage was shot using a Steadicam, while two Sony HVRV1U's (camera operators Eric Rice and Laurie Garner) documented physician presentations and surgical demonstrations. Audio technicians Adam Jones and Chris Mills rounded out the VCGTV crew.
